Hello All! I trust your 2012 is starting out well and that you are enjoying the blessings of a new year.

We started our month at Cathedral of Prayer in Charleston, WV on January 15^th. We were a “filling in” for Pastor Kevin Norvell who had to be out of town that day. It is always a blessing to worship with these folks and to hear of the good things the Lord is doing in their midst.

On the 19^th, we were honored to be a part of the Annual Board of Directors Meeting for the Huntington City Mission. It is rare that one can say of a Board of Directors Meeting, “There was a sweet spirit in this place” but we walked away that evening knowing that the Lord had met with us. We also had the pleasure of being with Dale Musgrave, who sang a song that evening and did a wonderful job. He joined Homer for a few songs. It was a a blessing to see these two soldiers of the cross together again this side of Heaven. Homer shared with the audience that between he and Dale, there were about 120 years of Gospel Music Ministry standing before them.

Unfortunately, our year has started by attending what I consider to be too many funerals.   Edna Kessinger went home to be with the Lord at the end of December.  She is a founding member of a local group, The Co-Pilots. Our friends, Larry and Ellen Keaton from the Gospel Tide, lost their son in a tragic event just after the first of the year. Glen and Nick Naylor, two young men who are active in ministry in our area, lost their mother after a short illness.   Finally, our friends from Sincere, said goodbye to Peggy's father, Lloyd Payne.  We certainly hope that you will pray for these families during this time. 

Before I close, I would like to ask that you continue to pray for Dave Davis (Kim's brother-in-law),   He recently started his chemotherapy treatments at Ohio University.  Please pray for Dave as well as his family who are caring for him during this time.
